Cape Town

The Daddy Long Legs - Art Hotel

Staying in the Daddy Long Legs Independent Travellers Hotel is like being part of an interactive art exhibition. The thirteen-room boutique hotel is quite unlike anything else in South Africa. Not only is each Daddy Long Legs room uniquely decorated by an artist, poet, photographer, designer or musician, but, they were afforded complete freedom to interpret the space as they pleased, resulting in a collection of hotel rooms that are an adventurous, humorous (and sometimes ironic) representation of Cape Town’s contemporary cultural landscape.

The Grand Daddy
Luxury shouldn’t exclude playfulness so The Grand Daddy has infused all its rooms and communal spaces with magical creative touches to ensure that guests are pleasantly surprised by the unexpected, the humorous and the interesting. The Grand Daddy’s warm and hospitable staff will guide you through this gentle journey throughout your stay by offering little-known information about the surrounds and the history whilst also performing the necessary business of hotels in a calm and caring manner.
Of course, The Grand Daddy’s big talking point is its ‘penthouse’ trailer park, where a collection of vintage Airstream caravans nestle beneath the backdrop of Table Mountain. Each of the 7 two-sleeper trailer suites have been conceptualized and designed by local artists and makes for an accommodation destination like no other.
